Member Event: Sharing Good Practice Seminar

This seminar, jointly hosted by Move On and Scottish Mentoring Network, is aimed at mentoring practitioners (co-ordinators, managers, volunteers) and anyone with an interest in improving Scottish mentoring services.
This free event will showcase the findings from an independent evaluation of Move On’s mentoring services, including strengths identified, areas for improvement and recommendations.
The event will involve a presentation from the evaluation authors at Edinburgh University’s Centre for Research on Families and Relationships. In addition we will hear from Scottish Mentoring Network, a Move On mentor and a member of Move On’s mentoring staff team.
The presentations will set the scene for round table discussions regarding how we, as practitioners, can improve our mentoring services. These facilitated sessions will focus on a range of topics including:
- achieving positive endings
- structure v flexible support
- improving ongoing mentor training
- providing consistent support for matches
